hi Ceri,
good luck with the new Meds.
really hope this is the one for you.
i am currently waiting for Anti-TNF as well ... and was given literature on Humira the one chosen for me. but to be honest after the state i got in starting Methotrexate i think i will skip over the possiblre side affects else i will drive myself crazy !!
go for it with a positive attitude and let's hope we hear you are doing well on it.
take care and let us know once you start.
Suzanne x

Hi Ceri I have had Infliximab and it completely gave me back my life. The results were amazing from day one. Feeling the stuff being infused gave me a huge sense of well being that I haven't really felt since. I didn't have any side effects and as far as I know it is still considered to be a very acceptable drug choice. Unfortunately for me Infliximab lost its efficacy after 12 months or so and I moved on to Enbrel. I'm a little surprised they haven't suggested something more immediate to get things under control before the first infusion, a depomedrone or methyl pred infusion. It will be an uphill battle for the first infusion of Infliximab. Hope you get good results Lyn x

hi Ceri,
i meant to say on my last post ... when i last saw Rheumy Nurse a fortnight or so ago for my second session re Humira,
i had a Depo injection, and the room i was in had two people sat in comfy chairs having their infusion. they looked really relaxed and comfy so it does look a good way forward to me.
let's hope it works well for you,
think we're both ready for the next step to get our RA under control.
Suzanne x
